A new neighbourhood is growing on the Zwhatt site in Regensdorf. The neighbourhood office is its place of meeting and mediation: here, tenants find a sympathetic ear, and facility management, neighbourhood coach and property management work together as a team. We designed the space for Pensimo, with building and connecting as the common thread.
Build and connect.
A scaffolding that connects.
At the center stands scaffolding, enhanced with color and a clear composition. It is still recognizable, but no longer perceived simply as scaffolding. It represents networking, building a future together, and the change that is in full swing in the neighborhood. Upon entering, it draws the gaze upward, makes the height of the space tangible, and enters into a dialogue with the volume of the kiosk. At the same time, it becomes a display case for items from the neighborhood that start a conversation.
One table, one team.
Facility management, the community coach, and administration work at a large table in the middle of the room. Its shape brings everyone together and naturally shortens distances, turning three roles into a well-coordinated team. At the entrance, a high table welcomes visitors. We designed both tables specifically for this space and had them custom-made by a carpenter, coordinating the lighting to match.
Built to last.
Sustainability was a priority from the very beginning. The framework is assembled using unmixed materials and can be completely dismantled, allowing the steel to be recovered. In this way, the shelving itself becomes a symbol of reuse, of the careful management of resources, and of a neighborhood that is allowed to keep growing.
