Studio Nicotra is an interior design, lighting design, and strategy studio based in Zurich. We design work environments, hospitality, and retail spaces for companies, real estate developers, and the public sector. Over the past four years, we have planned around 2,500 workstations across Switzerland and internationally.
Our home: a yellow wooden pavilion at Gutstrasse 145 in Wiedikon, surrounded by trees, bikes, and neighbors.

A place is only as good as the collaboration that creates it. That is why we take the time to get to know you, listen, and are transparent about how we work and make decisions. You have the same contact persons from the very first conversation until you move in, and you always know where the project stands.
Stories
Every place has a story. We give it shape.
Every project is guided by a central concept that we develop from the place, the brand, and the people. For KAYAK in Zurich, this concept is called "There and Back", derived from the palindrome in its name: a home base to set off from, and a destination to which you gladly return. Because our projects have clear stories, they have plenty to tell.

We guide workplaces, hospitality, and retail from the initial conversation to moving in. Lighting and good room acoustics are integral parts of the design from the very beginning, and we create custom furniture and fit-outs. For owners and developers, we devise concepts that make spaces rentable.

Interior architect and trained lighting designer (ZHAW / SLG). He integrates light into the concept from the very first sketch, ensuring that every project follows a clear vision. His philosophy: Great spaces are created by listening to the people who use them.
