For many, the journey begins here: at ZVV-Contact in Shopville beneath Zurich Main Station. For the first phase of the new retail space, we designed a place that provides orientation, makes waiting easy, and offers advice at eye level. Equally for commuters, guests from all over the world, and wheelchair users.
Everyone reaches their destination.
One switch, one goal.
An archival photograph from the Zurich Tram Museum pointed the way for us. Three musicians from the trio "Minstrels", their heads tucked under VBZ caps, pull together and throw a catch point into the correct position. A small gesture with a powerful message: those who stick together reach their destination.
This became the philosophy for the new location. With ZVV, no one gets left behind. The partition wall to the back office echoes the front face of a Zurich tram, a familiar piece of the cityscape right in the middle of ShopVille. And just like on the route network map, the stations line up sequentially: ticket machine, brochure display wall, lounge, and service counter effortlessly guide customers to their destination.
Welcoming, reliable, in motion.
The material world speaks of being on the move. Warm oak wood and soft curves are inviting, taking the rush out of waiting. Tubular steel lines run through the space like overhead contact lines, giving it direction. Textile curtains and felt dampen the hustle and bustle of the station, lending a sense of calm to conversations at the counter.
Natural stone, wood, and felt are robust and honest, withstanding the flow of commuters and aging with dignity. The ZVV blue sets the accents, answered by a warm terracotta. The result is a place that remains in motion yet feels reliable—just like a good timetable.

Listening is our first draft.
Every project begins with a conversation. Tell us what you have in mind: a new working environment, a restaurant, a space for the future. We bring an open mind, curiosity, and experience in strategy, interior design, and lighting. We'd love to meet at our studio on Gutstrasse in Zurich. Or wherever your project is coming to life.
