On the 24th floor of the high-rise building on the Zwhatt site, a terrace is being created for everyone who lives here. For Pensimo, we are planning the Skylounge as an open-air community space: for dining, celebrating, and lingering, with sweeping views across the Furttal.

Wood, stone and greenery.
A stepped Kebony wood deck, concrete-look planters, and benches structure the terrace without a single partition wall. Different levels and staggered planting create niches and depth, breaking up the rigid cubature.
There are two approaches to planting: a sea of blossoms made up of perennials with high flower density, or a biodiverse mix of native wild plants, herbs, and grasses. Both can be combined.
From dinner to celebration.
With stowable chairs, the cleared central area becomes a dining table for more than ten people, while the platform and benches turn into an extended seating area. In the evening, warm white light covers the terrace: a strip of light traces the lines of the building, spotlights highlight individual plants, and a string of lights completes the ensemble.
The troughs have their own water reservoir and an irrigation system that can be drained in winter. The electrical connections are concealed beneath the building's facade skin.
