Interior Design · Furnishing Concept
For over 75 years, the Baugenossenschaft im Gut has been building more than just apartments. It fosters neighbourhoods where decisions are made together, resources are shared, and people care for one another.
For their pavilion, we designed a workplace that brings precisely this to life. Whoever enters—whether a resident with a question, an employee in the morning, or a guest—feels as though the neighbourhood simply continues inside.
Together in the Gut.
A house within a house.
In the beginning, there was the view of the architecture. The distinctive gable roof is reminiscent of a classic residential house and imparts a sense of familiarity. The floor-to-ceiling windows divide the facade into calm, balanced sections and invite the neighborhood inside. The existing structure speaks in simple geometries, and the circle reappears again and again. We adopted this language and gently carried it forward.

Open to the neighbourhood.
At the front, right by the entrance, lies the meeting area. In the morning, it serves as a service point; during quieter hours, it becomes an additional workspace for the team. A midnight blue rug, a cognac sofa, and a table like a splash of light in lime: anyone waiting here feels like they are sitting in a neighbour's living room, with a view of the greenery.

Working in the light.
The workstations are positioned perpendicular to the facade and receive daylight from the side, glare-free and easy on the eyes. Height-adjustable oak desks, fabric screens in a calming green, and luminaires with warm, soft light create a focused yet welcoming atmosphere. Power is provided directly at the desk, with cables concealed.

Retreat and Huddle Hub.
A high-backed armchair in deep wine red, next to a wall of plants: this is where people retreat to, make phone calls or think, looking outside. Right next door is the Huddle Hub with a round oak standing table. People meet briefly, coordinate and move on.

Listening is our first draft.
Every project begins with a conversation. Tell us what you have in mind: a new working environment, a restaurant, a space for the future. We bring an open mind, curiosity, and experience in strategy, interior design, and lighting. We'd love to meet at our studio on Gutstrasse in Zurich. Or wherever your project is coming to life.
